Other Blogs I Read – A Mini-Meme

March 20th, 2007 by Christopher Harris

In the spirit of others contributing their extra-library blog subscriptions as started by Rachel Singer Gordon at the Liminal Librarian, here are five feeds that I read and enjoy.

2 Cents Worth (RSS) – David Warlick
David is an edtech guy from North Carolina who gets libraries in a big way! His work on information literacy and using technology to support learning is exceptional.

Copyblogger (RSS) – Brian Clark
This is a bit of a meta-blog, covering the art of writing for blogs. From how to write headlines that capture attention, to reminders to keep the you in blogging, I have learned a great deal from this blog.

Andy Carvin’s Waste of Bandwidth (RSS) – Andy Carvin
Andy Carvin always covers interesting topics using a variety of media. From his former work with the Digital Divide Network to his more recent blogging with PBS, this blog delivers on issues relating to technology in our world. I especially love the video updates on his cats!

UUSC Hotwire: A human rights weblog (RSS) – UUSC
The Unitarian Universalist Service Committee covers issues of social justice with updates from around the world. This is my charity of choice, and a great way to follow how my contributions are making a difference in peoples’ lives.

XKCD (RSS) – Randall Munroe
Subtitled “A webcomic of romance, sarcasm, math, and language” this occasional blog certainly delivers! One of my favorites was a recent review of the effects of human proximity to cats.
