Just a quick shout out to Maryalice Kilbourne, the librarian for Avoca Central School District in Avoca, NY. She was an excellent mentor teacher during my recent student librarianship and a great inspiration for using technology in small, rural libraries.
She was doing some great stuff with a new digital whiteboard in her library that I was quite honored to be able to share in this month’s SLJ.

Thank you Chris! I am working on a new SMART Inferences file now. Our testing data indicated that 7th graders were weak on making inferences when reading.
